About the Journal
Pendas : Jurnah Ilmiah Pendidikan Dasar is a journal published twice a year, namely in June and December that aims to be a forum for scientific publications to pour ideas and studies complemented with the results of research related to primary school education. To achieve this, basic education journals will selectively disseminate ideas and studies complemented by quality research results related to basic education, develop an education center to the elementary-school that can produce innovative, creative and original work and tested in the field of education and learning elementary School to be disseminated and implemented for improving the quality of primary-to-national education at the national, regional and international levels.

Jurnal Pendidikan Dasar was initiated and established for the first time on May 27, 2012. However there was a change in the nomenclature and the different personnel composition to be proposed and reactivated under the new name, Basic Education, previously named Pedagogy journals. The purpose of the establishment of the journal is to provide a publication container for the author to pour ideas and studies equipped with the results of research in primary schools. The basic education journals changed management personnel several times. This is due to various obstacles that can not be solved, one of which is the busyness of the team managing the journal. However, this journal has been published in printed form of 3 volumes and 6 numbers. The emergence of changes in the paradigm of scientific periodical publication issues contained in the Accreditation Policy by the Directorate of Intellectual Property Management, Kemenristek Dikti, and based on the Regulation of Directorate General of Higher Education No. 1 of 2014 on Guidelines for Accreditation of Scientific Issues that apply electronic accreditation based system using Journal Accreditation application National (Arjuna), then the governance of basic education journals developed into an electronic-based periodical publishing. This is motivated by the government's desire that the published journals in Indonesia be indexed by high reputable indexing agencies, so for the year now there is a policy that for offline journal it is an option whereas for the online journal it is mandatory, Even there is a discourse that the offline version of the journal will be eliminated. Because of the various considerations and demands of the development of the era based on ICT (Information Communication and Technology), the basic education journals developed based OJS (Open Journal System).
Jurnal Pendidikan Dasar dimulai dan didirikan untuk pertama kalinya pada tanggal 27 Mei 2012. Namun, ada perubahan dalam nomenklatur dan komposisi personil yang berbeda yang akan diajukan dan diaktifkan kembali dengan nama baru, Basic Education, yang sebelumnya bernama jurnal Pedagogi. Tujuan dari pembuatan jurnal ini adalah untuk menyediakan wadah publikasi bagi penulis untuk menuangkan gagasan dan penelitian yang dilengkapi dengan hasil penelitian di sekolah dasar. Jurnal pendidikan dasar mengubah beberapa personil manajemen. Hal ini disebabkan berbagai kendala yang tidak bisa dipecahkan, salah satunya adalah kesibukan tim pengelola jurnal. Namun, jurnal ini telah terbit dalam bentuk cetak 3 jilid dan 6 nomor. Munculnya perubahan paradigma isu publikasi ilmiah berkala yang terkandung dalam Kebijakan Akreditasi oleh Direktorat Pengelolaan Kekayaan Intelektual, Kemenristek Dikti, dan berdasarkan Peraturan Dirjen Dikti No.1 tahun 2014 tentang Pedoman Akreditasi Ilmiah Isu yang menerapkan sistem akreditasi elektronik menggunakan aplikasi Akreditasi Jurnal Nasional (Arjuna), maka tata kelola jurnal pendidikan dasar berkembang menjadi penerbitan berkala berbasis elektronik. Hal ini dimotivasi oleh keinginan pemerintah agar jurnal yang diterbitkan di Indonesia diindeks oleh agensi pengindeksan bereputasi tinggi, sehingga untuk tahun sekarang ada kebijakan bahwa untuk jurnal offline itu adalah pilihan sedangkan untuk jurnal online itu wajib, bahkan ada sebuah wacana bahwa versi offline jurnal tersebut akan dieliminasi. Karena berbagai pertimbangan dan tuntutan perkembangan zaman berbasis ICT (Komunikasi dan Informatika), jurnal pendidikan dasar dikembangkan berbasis OJS (Open Journal System).
