Abstract

This research examines the importance of technology-based human resource development (HRD) at Trunojoyo Madura University Library (UTM) to face the challenges of the digital era. Along with technological advances, libraries are transforming from traditional functions to innovation centers. The purpose of this study was to explore the perceptions of students and staff regarding the use of technology in information management and the challenges faced. The research methodology involved interviews with nine interviewees, consisting of students and library staff. The results showed that the application of technology, such as the self-checkout system and e-library, improved service efficiency and user experience. However, there are challenges related to digitization and limited tools that need to be overcome. The conclusion of this study emphasizes the importance of developing adaptive and innovative human resources to improve the quality of library services in the ever-evolving information age.
