PENGEMBANGAN MEDIA KOTAK PERKALIAN PADA PEMBELAJARAN MATEMATIKA KELAS V SD NEGERI 97 KOTA PALEMBANG

The development of multiplication box media is a research that aims to develop an innovative learning media in the form of multiplication boxes. This research went through the process of validating the multiplication box media as an effective tool to help students understand and master the multiplication concept. Based on the needs analysis, the multiplication box media was designed by considering the visual, interactive, and student involvement aspects. The multiplication box media prototype was then developed and tested on groups of students to see how effective it was in increasing multiplication understanding. Data collection techniques used by researchers in this study were observation, questionnaires, tests and documentation. Using the R&D method based on the ADDIE development model, the data obtained were then analyzed using descriptive research methods. The test results show that the multiplication box media can help students understand the multiplication concept better. It can be seen from the n-gain value obtained 0.818841 which is categorized as effective. Students also provide positive feedback regarding the use of this media, such as increasing interest in learning, active involvement, and enjoyment in the multiplication learning process. This study concludes that the development of multiplication box media as a learning tool is an effective step in helping students understand and master the multiplication concept. Multiplication box media can be used as a support for learning in the classroom or as a self-help tool outside the classroom. The implication of this research is the importance of developing innovative learning media to improve student learning outcomes, particularly in mathematics and multiplication.Downloads
