Abstract

History learning currently still uses conventional learning models where teachers mostly explain material through lectures, questions and answers, discussions, assignments, and use books as the main source of learning. Learning history using textbooks and learning models using lectures has an impact on students' low interest in learning so that many students still obtain history learning results below the minimum completeness criteria. To overcome this problem, teachers can use media that can increase student interest and learning outcomes. The use of innovative media is expected to increase student motivation and learning outcomes. One of the media that is widely used today is quizizz. The aims of this research include: 1) To determine the influence of Quizizz media on the interest of Phase F students at SMK Negeri 1 Sampang, and 2) To determine the effects of Quizizz media on the ability to understand the history of the arrival of Europeans to the archipelago in Phase F students at SMK Negeri 1 Lacquer. This research is an experimental research in which researchers tested the use of Quizizz media and determined its effect on students' interest in learning and understanding of history learning in vocational high schools. The population and sample in this research were 32 students in class XI TF 1 as the experimental group and 32 students in class XI TF 2 as the research control group. The results of this research include: 1) There is an influence of quizizz media on the interest of phase F students at SMK Negeri 1 Sampang, and 2) there is an influence of quizizz media on the ability to understand the history of the arrival of Europeans to the archipelago in phase F students of SMK Negeri 1 Sampang.
