Abstract

The purpose of this study is to examine whether students' learning outcomes can be influenced by the integration of Concept Maps into the Jigsaw Type Cooperative learning model. A quantitative and quasi-experimental approach with nonequivalent control group design was used for this study. All grade VII students at SMPN 1 Mataram were considered as part of the study population, while purposive sampling resulted in Class VII H (experimental) and Class VII J (control). Pretest and post-test assessments in multiple-choice format constituted the test technique used along with the observation method for data collection purposes. SPSS version 23 will be used to aid the data analysis approach. Paired Sample T Test for hypothesis testing previously conducted prerequisite tests in the form of Levene test for homogeneity and Shapiro-Wilk used for normality analysis. Based on the results of the t-test at the 5% significance level, with a sig value. 0.000 <0.05, then this study has a significant effect in improving student learning outcomes in Civics subjects at SMPN 1 Mataram.
