Abstract

Based on information obtained from the class VI teacher at SD Negeri 1 Kebonpedes, the teaching materials used by teachers in the science learning process are science textbooks published by the ministry of education and culture. While the learning media used by the teacher is in the form of pictures in the book. Due to the lack of learning media, this research aims to produce a product that is used as a learning medium in class VI, namely the learning media KOTASUMI (Kotak Tata Surya Mini). This type of research and development (RnD) uses the ADDIE model which consists of 5 stages, namely: analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. Data collection techniques that researchers use are observation, interviews and questionnaires. The data analysis technique used to measure the feasibility of the KOTASUMI media was a material expert and media expert assessment questionnaire, while to find out the teacher's and student's responses to KOTASUMI media the researcher used a teacher's response questionnaire and a student response questionnaire. The product feasibility test was obtained from the reviews of material experts and media experts. The results of material experts reached 81%. The media expert's assessment reached 99%. In both validations, an average of 90% was obtained with very feasible criteria, no revision was needed. Furthermore, the response of teachers and students regarding the KOTASUMI media was very good based on the results of the teacher's response which was 98% and the student's response was 99%. So it can be concluded that KOTASUMI media is declared suitable for learning.
