Abstract

The aim of this research is an effort to increase students' emotional intelligence through the use of a cooperative model, student teams achievement division type, integrated with emotional intelligence through self-assessment techniques. The subjects of this research were 30 students in class 3B of SDN Madaeng 1 Sidoarjo for the 2024/2025 academic year. The type of research used is classroom action research (PTK) with a Kemmis and MC design. Tagart. The data collection technique is an emotional intelligence questionnaire developed from Daniel Goleman's five indicators, through positive and negative statements on a four interval scale. The final results show a comparison of the emotional intelligence of students in the pre-cycle and the last cycle, namely cycle 2, which was treated. The results show that the pre-cycle has increased. In the very low category with 0%, the low category with an initial percentage of 47% decreased to 23% with an average of 35%, the high category experienced an increase from pre-cycle 13% to 47% with an average increase of 43%, the very high category in pre-cycle 13% to 30% with an average value of 86%.
