IMPLEMENTASI PEMBELAJARAN KOOPERATIF BERBASIS GAME CLASS OF CHAMPIONS DALAM MENINGKATKAN KETERAMPILAN BERPIKIR KRITIS PESERTA DIDIK KELAS VI SD

This study aims to improve the critical thinking skills of grade VI students in learning mathematics through a game-based cooperative learning model “Class of Champions”. A total of 33 students were the subjects in this Classroom Action Research (PTK), which was conducted at SDN Pagesangan 1/426 Surabaya. There are three steps in this study, namely initial assessment, cycle 1, and cycle 2. The activities carried out include planning, action, observation and reflection. “Class of Champions” game has two rounds of games used in this study to teach mathematical concepts related to counting operations of small numbers. The initial assessment results showed that the average score was 48.72. This result showed that their critical thinking skills were still far from what was expected. This finding became the basis for planning cycle 1. In cycle 1, there was an increase with an average score of 62.78 and in cycle 2 the average score increased significantly to 87.51. The findings from the results of this study indicate that the application of the game-based cooperative learning model “Class of Champions” has succeeded in improving students' critical thinking skills in learning mathematics.Downloads
