Abstract

The purpose of this study was to improve student learning outcomes through the cooperative learning model of the Teams Games Tournament (TGT) type assisted by Flash Cards media for fourth-grade students of SDN Medaeng 1 Waru Sidoarjo. The subjects of this study were 25 fourth-grade students of SDN Medaeng 1 Waru Sidoarjo, the number of male students was 12 and the number of female students was 13. The type of research used was Classroom Action Research (CAR) with a quasi-experimental research design with a control group design form. This data collection technique uses a test instrument to measure student learning outcomes. The data analysis technique used was the comparative statistical technique. The increase that occurred in cycle 1 was 72.80% with a moderate category and increased again in cycle II by 82% with a high category. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that the Teams Games Tournament (TGT) learning model assisted by Flash Cards media can improve science learning outcomes.
