Abstract

This research is based on the low ability of students' mathematical critical thinking. The research aims to determine the existence or absence of the influence of the Teams Games Tournament (TGT) type cooperative learning model assisted by the Math Games application on the mathematical critical thinking ability of elementary school students. This study uses experimental research with Posttest Only Control Design. The population in this study is all grade IV students of SD  Negeri 143 Palembang totaling 113 students in the even semester of the 2023/2024 school year. Sample selection uses Cluster Random Sampling with a sample of 56 students divided into 2 classes. The instrument used was a mathematical critical thinking ability test with a total of 5 description questions that had met the validity and reliability test. Data analysis uses the Idenpendent Simple t-test. The results of this study concluded that in the study there was a difference in students' mathematical critical thinking ability using a Teams Games Tournament (TGT) type cooperative learning model assisted by the Math Games application. The results of the hypothesis test were obtained that students who used the Teams Games Tournament (TGT) type cooperative model assisted by the Math Games application had a higher average mathematical critical thinking ability than students who were taught using the conventional model.
