Abstract

Social skills are very important for students' personal growth, especially in elementary school.  This study aims to describe the cultivation of students' social skills through eating together activities in elementary schools.  Qualitative method by means of data collection techniques through observation, interviews, and documentation can be used to study students' experiences during eating together.  The results of this study show that social skills such as relationship skills by the way students communicate with peers, self-management skills by the way students motivate themselves to be better, and academic skills by the way students control their emotions. By utilizing this opportunity, schools can help students grow into well-informed, responsible individuals in various social situations.
