ANALISIS FAKTOR-FAKTOR RENDAHNYA KEMAMPUAN MEMBACA SISWA KELAS 3 SDN 7 RIAU SILIP

This study aims to analyze the factors causing the low reading ability of 3rd-grade students at SDN 7 Riau Silip. Using a qualitative research approach with a case study method, the researcher collected data from 2 to 5 third-grade students who experienced reading difficulties. Data were obtained through observations, interviews, and document analysis. The results showed that the students' low reading ability was influenced by internal and external factors. Internal factors encompassed reading interest and activities, student's varying abilities, as well as word comprehension and vocabulary range. External factors included students' facilities and infrastructure, school environment, and family support. This research provides insights into the issue of low reading ability among 3rd-grade students and the importance of identifying the causal factors. Recommendations and intervention strategies are proposed to enhance students' reading abilities. The findings are expected to assist educators and stakeholders in designing more effective learning programs to improve the reading skills of 3rd-grade students at SDN 7 Riau Silip.Downloads
