Learning difficulties are an important problem that hinders students in the learning process, Problems in this study 1. difficulty learning to read beginning of grade I students in Indonesian subjects at SD IT AL-Zahira, 2. knowing the factors causing the initial reading difficulties of grade 1 students at SD IT AL – Zahira. This article aims to examine and analyze the difficulties of learning to read beginning students in Indonesian learning in grade I of SD IT Al-Zahira. The data collection techniques used are observation and in-depth interviews. Data analysis techniques based on content analysis methods. The results of this study are an analysis of the initial reading learning difficulties experienced by grade I students in Indonesian subjects are the analysis of students' difficulties in spelling letters into syllables, the analysis of students' difficulties in spelling syllables into words, and the analysis of students' difficulties distinguishing letters b-d, p-q v-f.
