Abstract

  Character is a very important thing to instill from the start because with strengthening character education, children can behave well in the family environment and outside the family environment. Traditional games have an element of fun and are suitable for developing character at a young age. This study aims to explain the character values ​​contained in traditional clay games. This research uses qualitative case study research. This study took the subject of children and parents of children with a total of six children who live in Panggungroyom Village. Data obtained through observation, interviews and documentation. The results of this study indicate that there are five main characters contained in traditional clay games. The character values ​​analyzed in traditional clay games include (1) hard work, (2) creative, (3) friendly/communicative, (4) care for the environment and (5) responsibility.
