Abstract

In conducting this research, it aims to develop problem-based learning monopoly thematic learning media in class V SD that are valid, practical, and effective. Researchers use the ADDIE development model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation). So that the results of the validity research obtained with an average score of 94% of media experts in the "very valid" category, an average score of 90% of linguists in the "very valid" category, and a material expert criterion score of 80% with "very valid" criteria. and one two one with an average score of 94% with the criteria of "very valid". The results of product practicality research conducted on the teacher questionnaire were 97% in the "very practical" category and in small groups with an average score of 97% in the "very practical" category. Furthermore, with the results of the product effectiveness test conducted by 25 class V students, they obtained an average score of 88% in the "very effective" category. It can be concluded that the monopoly game media on this water cycle material in class V SD is stated to be valid, practical, and effective to use and develop during teaching and learning activities in class for fifth grade students at SD Negeri 139 Palembang.
