This research uses nonequivalent experimental research design control group design. The population of this study were all 3rd grade students at SD 05 Berangah, Beleka Village, Praya Timur District, for the 2022/2023 academic year, totaling 25 students. The sample used was all 25 students with a total sampling technique / saturated sample. The data collection method uses observation sheets and performance tests in the form of test questions. The data analysis technique used is the Independent Sample T-Test at a significance level of 5%. Based on the t-test analysis, it shows that there are differences in the results of the students' reading comprehension ability in the control class and the experimental class seen in the column t-test for equality of means with a value of Sig.[2-tailed] namely 0.05 > 0.000 that t-count (8.048 ) > t-table (2.063). This means that there is a significant effect of the use of picture story books on the reading comprehension ability of grade 3 students at SDN 05 Berangah, Beleka Village, East Praya District.
