Abstract

This study aims to describe the application of the problem-based learning model to improve students' collaboration skills in mathematics learning in class IVA SDN 76/IX Mendalo Darat. This research was conducted in the even semester of the 2023/2024 school year. This research was conducted at SDN 76/IX Mendalo Darat, Jambi Luar Kota District, Muaro Jambi Regency. This type of research is classroom action research (PTK). This research data was obtained from observation and documentation. Then the data was analysed qualitatively and quantitatively. This research was carried out in two cycles consisting of four stages, namely planning, implementation, observation and reflection. Based on the results of research on the application of problem-based learning models can improve students' collaboration skills in learning mathematics. This is because students experience an increase in collaboration skills by paying attention to each indicator of collaboration skills that can be seen in each cycle. The results obtained by the collaboration skills of students in cycle I meeting I were 58.13% with the category Less and meeting II was 66.46% with the category Enough. In cycle II, meeting I increased to 72.50% with the Good category and meeting II also increased to 77.92% with the Good category. Based on the results of this study, it can be concluded that applying a problem-based learning model can increase the learning activeness of students in learning mathematics in class IVA SDN 76/IX Mendalo Darat.
