PENGARUH PENERAPAN PENDEKATAN PEMBELAJARAN PROJECT BASED LEARNING TERHADAP KETERAMPILAN SOSIAL EMOSIONAL ANAK USIA 5-6 TAHUN

Abstract

This research motivated by the lack of children's ability  socialize and channel emotions well. This research aims to determine effect of implementing learning approach project based learning on the social emotional abilities of children aged 5-6 years which were applied to the Pertiwi Selong Kindergarten in the 2023-2024 school year. This research uses quantitative research methods in  experiment, that is Quasi Eksperiment One Group Pretest-Posttest sedign. The subjects in this study were 16 children in group B1. The data collection method used in  research is observation and documentation methods. The data analysis technique used in research uses difference test technique (sign test). Based on data analysis, an increase  percentage score of children's social emotional skills before and after being given treatment. The research results obtained data pre-test social emotional skills of children aged 5-6 years with percentage of 57.74% post-test with  percentage of 74.80%. Furthermore, based on this data, there are differences  percentage values achieved between the data pre-test smaller when compared with value poss-test who gets  larger percentage. This is proven by the results of data analysis using the sign test formula (sign test) namely the significance level (α) ≥ p (probability), namely (0.05 ≥ 0.00). This means H0 rejected and Ha accepted. This means influence on application of approach project based learning on social emotional skills of children aged 5-6 years at Pertiwi Selong Kindergarten. Thus project based learning can be  solution in improving social emotional skills of children aged 5-6 years at Pertiwi Selong Kindergarten.
