Abstract

This research aims to develop teaching materials for letter writing in the Indonesian language subject using a Project-Based Approach (PBP) for 5th-grade students at SDN Arjowinangun. The study applies an experimental method with a one-group pre-test post-test design. Pre-test and post-test are used to collect data on student learning outcomes. The research findings indicate that the use of project-based learning methods using teaching materials can improve students' literacy in the Indonesian language, specifically in letter writing. This is evidenced by an improvement in learning outcomes, with an average pre-test score of 69.5, an average post-test score of 81, and a gain score of 0.389 (medium category). Additionally, project-based teaching materials can also enhance students' interest in learning, as seen from the student response results, which reached 85% (excellent category). Furthermore, these teaching materials also assist teachers in the teaching process, as reflected in the average teacher response rate of 87% (excellent category).
