Abstract

The research in this paper aims to determine the role of teachers in improving learning discipline at SD Negeri Cengkareng Timur 15 Pagi. The teacher's role is very important in improving learning discipline to achieve learning goals. This research uses a descriptive qualitative method with data collection techniques in the form of observation, interviews and documentation, while the data analysis technique uses triangulation. The subjects of this research were 3 teachers and students of class VI at SD Negeri Cengkareng Timur 15 Pagi. The results of this research show that teachers are not only focused on conveying knowledge, but also include aspects of educating, guiding, training and assessing. There are 4 roles of teachers in improving learning discipline, namely (1) the role of teachers as educators; 2) the role of the teacher as a guide; 3) the role of the teacher as a trainer; 4) the role of the teacher as an evaluator. Through these 4 roles, teachers can improve student learning discipline. The learning environment becomes conducive and active because learning discipline is not just about learning, but a process that requires changes in students.
