MOTIVASI BELAJAR SISWA SMPN 21 MATARAM DALAM MENGIKUTI PEMBELAJARAN PPKn

Abstract

Motivation is a motive that exists in a person before that person does something. Motiva   tion encourages someone to develop their own abilities and knowledge. The aim of this research is to find out; (1), what is the learning motivation of students at SMPN 21 Mataram (2), the causal factors that influence students' learning motivation at SMPN 21 Mataram. The research approach used is a qualitative approach with a case study type of research. Data collection techniques are: interview techniques, observation and documentation. The data wetness technique uses source triangulation, engineering triangulation and time triangulation. Data analysis techniques include data reduction, data presentation and drawing conclusions. The research results found (1). The learning motivation of students at SMPN 21 Mataram in participating in PPKn learning is quite good, this is shown by the students' desire to take part in PPKn learning with quite enthusiasm, the desire to succeed from the majority of students who have aspirations, the existence of appreciation for students can increase students' self-confidence , the existence of interesting learning activities can foster students' enthusiasm for learning so that students become active in class 2). The causal factors that influence the learning motivation of students at SMPN 21 Mataram in participating in PPKn learning are teacher factors and technological facilities. Meanwhile, the inhibiting factors causing the motivation of students at SMPN 21 Mataram in participating in PPKn learning include the students themselves and the influence of the school environment.
