Abstract

Forming the character of responsibility through learning Pancasila and citizenship education at SMPN 1 Kediri is an effort to create citizens who have a high level of positivity. The aim of this research is to find out how the responsible character of class VIII students is formed through PPKn learning at SMPN 1 Kediri for the 2023/2024 academic year. To find out the supporting and inhibiting factors in the formation of responsible character at SMPN 1 Kediri. This research uses a qualitative approach with a case study type of research. Data collection techniques use interview, observation and documentation techniques. The data analysis technique uses the Miles and Hubermen technique, namely: data reduction, data presentation and data conclusion. Data wetness techniques use triangulation of time, sources and techniques. Efforts to form students' responsible character through Pancasila and citizenship education subjects at SMPN 1 Kediri, namely: 1). Forming the character of responsibility towards oneself, responsibility as a child and responsibility as a student; 2). Forming a character of responsibility as a citizen by obeying the law and loving the homeland and defending the country; 3). Forming a character of responsibility towards the environment and 3). Forming a character of responsibility towards religion. Supporting and inhibiting factors for the formation of students' character of responsibility through Pancasila and citizenship education subjects at SMPN 1 Kediri are: 1). Supporting factors for the formation of students' responsible character through Pancasila and citizenship education subjects at SMPN 1 Kediri arise from several things, namely: a). Competence of Pancasila and citizenship education teachers; b). School support; c). Parental concern; d). Good learning environment. 2). Supporting factors for the formation of students' responsible character through Pancasila and citizenship education subjects at SMPN 1 Kediri arise from several things, namely: a). Student interactions outside the school environment; b). Time management for Pancasila and citizenship education teachers; c.) Development of information and communication technology
