Abstract

The problem often faced by elementary schools is the poor academic achievement of students in mathematics subjects, and the learning model that researchers want to develop is the STAD model. This study aims to determine and analyze how much impact the application of the STAD type cooperative learning model on grade I students of SD Muhammadiyah 1 Taman in improving mathematics learning outcomes of elementary school students. Research methods. In classroom action research, the teacher is a major factor and must play his or her role well. In this study, researchers act as teachers or implementers of action. At the same time, the class teacher acts as an observer to observe the actions of researchers and students during the learning process. The observations show that the learning process in cycle II is very active because all group members play an active role and dare to respond to other groups' objections or ask questions or objections to other groups' work presentations. The second cycle learning process is seen to increase student learning motivation so that student learning outcomes are achieved synergistically. The mathematics learning process in today's material using the STAD type cooperative learning model can increase the learning effect of SD Muhammadiyah 1 Taman Class 1A students. Can improve student learning outcomes. and allows students to learn more actively.
