The research aims to determine the influence and how much influence the word puzzle-based discovery learning model has on students' critical thinking abilities. The total population of this study was 16 students. Determination of the sample using a non-probability sampling technique with a saturated sampling type. The research method uses quantitative quasi-experimental type with the research design The Times Series Experiment. The research instrument uses observation sheets and test questions that have met the analysis prerequisite tests. Hypothesis testing using the paired sample t-test obtained three consecutive significance values, namely 0.720 > 0.05, 0.219 > 0.05 and finally the significant value was 0.000 < 0.05 with t_count and t_table values 13,327 > 1.75305, meaning that H_0 was proposed. rejected and H_a accepted. The effect size test results in this study were the largest in the third treatment, amounting to 1.190 with high criteria. It can be said that the word puzzle-based discovery learning model has a big influence on the critical thinking abilities of class III students at SDN 19 Mataram.Downloads
