Abstract

This research aims to determine the influence of students' self-concept and mathematics anxiety on understanding mathematics concepts. The accessible population is class V students at SDN for the 2023/2024 academic year in Ampenan. The sample size was 40 students taken from 2 classes randomly. Data collection on self-concept and mathematics anxiety regarding understanding of mathematics concepts was carried out using a questionnaire method, while data on understanding of mathematics concepts was obtained from mathematics test questions. The data analysis technique used is simple linear regression analysis and multiple linear regression analysis with a significance level of 0.05. The results of the research show that: 1) there is an influence between self-concept and understanding of Mathematics concepts, 2) there is an influence between mathematics anxiety on understanding Mathematics concepts, 3) there is an influence between self-concept and mathematics anxiety on understanding Mathematics concepts at SDN 20 Ampenan.
