The ability to write scientific articles is one of the key competencies that students must have in pursuing higher education. This research aims to analyze the ability to write scientific articles in Physics Study Program students at the State Islamic University (UIN) Sunan Kalijaga. The research methods used are surveys and document analysis.The results of this research show that the majority of Physics students at UIN Sunan Kalijaga have the ability to write scientific articles that still need to be improved. Document analysis reveals that the structure of scientific articles, choosing the right language, and understanding research methods are still the main obstacles in writing scientific articles. However, students show progress in the ability to analyze relevant literature and compile bibliography well.This research also highlights the need for curriculum development and learning that focuses more on aspects of writing scientific articles. Apart from that, providing special guidance and training for students can be an effective effort in improving their ability to write scientific articles. It is hoped that the results of this research can be valuable input for the development of higher education at UIN Sunan Kalijaga and similar institutions in an effort to improve students' academic competence, especially in the context of writing scientific articles.Downloads
