Abstract

This research is to develop a feasible and effective PPT-based word card game media to improve children's early reading skills. This research uses R & D (research and development) research. The subjects in this study were 8 B2 group children in Al-Banna Kindergarten with data collection instruments using questionnaires, observation and documentation. With the results of the feasibility model from media experts amounting to 80% of the percentage result value is included in the feasible category. The first trial of the results of PPT-based word card game development activities to improve the initial reading skills of group B children was included in the developing category as expected with a percentage of 57.4%, the second trial of the results of PPT-based word card game development activities to improve the reading ability of group B children was included in the developing category as expected with a percentage of 66.7%, The third trial of the results of PPT-based word card game development activities to improve the initial reading skills of group B children was included in the very well developed category with a percentage of , 83.9%, the fourth trial of the results of PPT-based word card game development activities to improve the reading ability of group B children was included in the very well developed category with a percentage of 91.96%.
