School literacy is a social activity with collaborative support from various elements or efforts taken to make it happen in the form of students' reading habits. The problem of children's character in elementary schools is quite complex related to the value of character education. Given the importance of character education for students for the survival and progress of the Indonesian nation, it is necessary to instill character education values carried out in schools in Citizenship Education (PKN) lessons. This study aims to determine literacy activities in instilling the value of character education in class II students at SDN Jelupang 01, South Tangerang City. The research method used in this research is descriptive qualitative. Data collection was carried out using observation, interviews, and documentation. Based on the results of research, data analysis, and discussion, it can be concluded that teachers carry out the habituation, development, and learning stages, there are weekly unscheduled activities, teacher literacy is not only print literacy but there is also visual and digital literacy, and students carry out routine activities literacy so that the way the teacher instills the value of character education in Citizenship Education (PKN) lessons is carried out properly. The problem of children's character in elementary schools is quite complex related to the value of character education. On the other hand, teachers have made efforts and efforts to instill student character education values in Citizenship Education (PKN) lessons in improving student character education in curiosity, tolerance, and independence in class II students.Downloads
