Abstract

This study aims to find out how the role of the teacher is in increasing the learning interest of Class III students at SDN Keboncau IV, Teluknaga District, Tangerang Regency. The type of research method used is descriptive qualitative. Informants in this study are teachers, students, and parents of students. The location of this research was at SDN Keboncau IV, Teluknaga District, Tangerang Regency. Data collection techniques used in this research are observation, interviews and documentation studies. The results of this study indicate that the teacher's role has been carried out quite well. Efforts were made by the teacher, namely approaching students and parents of students, increasing references to learning materials, and using learning media. Class III students' interest in learning looks quite low. This can be seen from the students having enthusiasm when studying the subjects they enjoy, sometimes having difficulty doing exercises, and not focusing on learning.
