Abstract

This study aims to determine whether there is an effect of the Index Card Match Learning Model on the Learning Outcomes of Class IV Students in Science Learning at SD Negeri 89 Palembang. This research is a type of quantitative research using the experimental method of the True Experimental Design type with the Posttest-Only Control Design design. The population of this study were all fourth grade students at SD Negeri 89 Palembang, totaling 71 students. The sample of this research was students of class IV.A and IV.B with a total of 46 students. The sampling technique used is Simple Random Sampling. Data collection techniques in this study were test, observation, and documentation. The results of this study indicate that the average value obtained by researchers in the posttest questions for the experimental class was 86.363, while the control class was 64.583. Based on data analysis, the samples were normally distributed and homogeneous, the data were analyzed using the Independent Sample T-Test with the criterion Ha accepted if tcount > ttable with data acquisition tcount = 5.505 and ttable = 2.015 with a significant level of 0.05 then Ha was accepted. Based on the results of the study it can be concluded that there is a significant influence between the Index Card Match learning model on the learning outcomes of fourth grade students in science subjects at SD Negeri 89 Palembang.
