Abstract

This study aims to see the effect of the jaritmatika method on independence and learning motivation of fourth grade students in mathematics content. The approach used in this research is a quantitative approach with a descriptive approach. The data collection method used in this study was a questionnaire (questionnaire). By using the one group pretest posttest design, the use of this questionnaire is to measure student independence and motivation. The data analysis method used in this study is the validity and reliability test, data normality, and the paired sample T-test. Based on the results of the study, it showed that there was an effect of the Jarimatics Method on the independence of class IV UPTD SDN Berbeluk 1 Arosbaya as seen based on pretest and posttest data. It is known that based on the output that has been tested, it is obtained from the description of the data that there is an average mean at pre 36.67 and post data 40.25. There is an influence of the Jarimatics Method on the Motivation of Grade 4 UPTD SDN Berbeluk 1 Arosbaya as seen based on the pretest and posttest data. It is known that based on the output that has been tested, it is obtained from the description of the data that there is an average mean at pre 35.92 and post data 42.00. There is an influence of the Jarimatics Method on the Independence and Motivation of Grade 4 UPTD SDN Berbeluk 1 Arosbaya students. It is known that significant value data on equal variances assumed is 0.002 <0.05 on the paired sample t-test of independence, and significant value data on equal variances assumed is 0.000 <0.05 on the paired sample t-test of motivation.
