Abstract

This research aims to describe the teacher's strategy in an effort to instill the character of discipline towards students at UPTD SD NEGERI Batokorogan 1 academic year 2022/2023. The teacher at UPTD SD NEGERI Batokorogan 1 has already implemented class teacher professionalism in instilling the character of student discipline properly. However, students are not optimal in applying the character education that has been given by the teacher. For example, there are still students who do not comply with school rules. Therefore it is important for a classroom teacher to know what strategies are used to instill the character of discipline in students and what are the inhibiting factors in building the character of discipline in students. The approach used in this research is descriptive qualitative research. By using interview techniques, observation, and documentation. Based on the research, it was found that 1) the strategies used by classroom teachers were through exemplary elements, habits, regulations, punishments, coaching. 2) that influence the class teacher in instilling discipline, namely family and environmental factors.
