Abstract

The role of the teacher is the behavior or actions of a teacher to impart knowledge and knowledge to other people, namely students. The teacher is a determining factor for the success of the learning process. As an educator, a teacher should have the ability to speak Indonesian well. A teacher who wants to speak in Indonesian adjusts to the prevailing societal norms that are commonly used in everyday life and there are provisions in it. This study aims to determine the factors that influence the teacher's role in improving students' language skills and how teachers improve students' language skills. This research uses a descriptive method. Descriptive method is a method in examining the status of human groups or objects of situations and conditions. The results of this study were that there were 5 students out of 11 students who were less able to use Indonesian well. Factors that influence students' lack of language skills are family factors. The solution implemented by the teacher is to pay more attention to students who are unable to use good Indonesian. And familiarize students every day to speak in Indonesian.
