Abstract

Learning media is a tool to support the process of learning activities to help educators deliver meaningful and clear learning and effectively achieve teaching and learning objectives. Learning media itself is something that will be used to convey a lesson, so that it can develop the thoughts, interests, and feelings of students who are carrying out the learning process in order to achieve the aims and objectives of learning. One of the learning media that can motivate students so that they can increase their enthusiasm for learning is animated video learning media. This study uses quantitative research with a pre-experimental research design type on-group pretest-posttest design. That is, using an initial test and a final test to determine the students' initial abilities related to the material presented, while the posttest is a form of final evaluation of learning and this study uses the manova test to find out whether there is an effect of animated videos on the interest and learning outcomes of science class V UPTD SDN Tanjung Bumi 0. Where the results of the T-Test Sample test obtained a value of 0.190> 0.05 for student cooperation and a sig. of 0.806 > 0.05 for student learning motivation. So it can be concluded that this research has the effect of using animated video learning media on students' understanding and motivation.
