Abstract

The purpose of education refers to the development of the potential that exists in human. Learning in schools has not succeeded in overcoming the difficulties in learning experienced by students . such as difficulty in reading which often lacks attention from class teachers, especially in grade 3 SD. This study aims to find out what are the factors that hinder beginners and how to overcome difficulties in learning to read for beginners in grade 3 elementary school students at UPTD SDN BILAPORAH 5 BANGKALAN. This research use descriptive qualitative apporoach, data collection techniques in this study are observation, interviews, and documents. In conducting this research it was found that the inhibiting factors of students still having difficulty in reading were internal factors and external factors. Internal factors are the low interestin learning in students and low learning motivation in students, while external factors are the lack of motivation from parents and factors from electronic devices, cell phone and TV.
