This study aims to investigate the effect of applying the Numbered Head Together (NHT) cooperative model to improving student learning outcomes in grade IV in natural science subjects. This research uses a class action research approach (PTK) which involves one class IV as the research subject. The research was conducted in three cycles with each cycle consisting of the stages of planning, implementing, observing, and reflecting. The results showed that the application of the NHT cooperative model significantly increased the learning outcomes of fourth grade students in science subjects. In the first cycle, the average percentage of student learning outcomes reached 70%, which increased to 80% in the second cycle, and reached 90% in the third cycle. The NHT type cooperative model also provides additional benefits in increasing student involvement in small group discussions, share knowledge, and help each other in solving problems. Based on the findings of this study, it is suggested to teachers to consider the use of the NHT type cooperative model in learning natural sciences in grade IV. This model can help improve student learning outcomes, strengthen social skills, and create an inclusive, cooperative, and collaborative learning environment. Future research can involve more research subjects and broaden the range of subjects.Downloads
