Abstract

This study aims to describe the application of strengthening religious character education of elementary school students based on school culture and to find out the supporting and inhibiting factors in the application of strengthening religious character education of elementary school students based on school culture. This research uses a qualitative method with a type of case study research whose data is obtained from interviews, observation and documentation. The results showed that the implementation of school culture-based students' religious character education through habituation has been implemented with morning apple and Friday blessing habituation activities. The religious character values formed are love of peace, tolerance, respect for differences in religion and belief, firm stance, self-confidence, antibuli and violence, friendship, not forcing the will, and protecting the smallest and excluded. Supporting factors in the implementation of strengthening students' religious character education based on school culture through the habituation of morning apples and Friday blessings are the very high enthusiasm of students, the concern of parents and the commitment of teachers in carrying out their roles. The inhibiting factors in strengthening students' religious character education based on school culture through the habituation of morning apples and blessed Friday are the looseness of teacher commitment, limited infrastructure and limited time in carrying out habituation. Through the implementation of strengthening religious character education at Sdn Pandankrajan 1, it can shape and improve students' religious character.
