Abstract

If you look at the results of studying for the Class VI Final School Examination, basic education is currently experiencing a decline in grades, even a decline in morals. Even though the development of science and technology is currently very developed and even more advanced than the previous year. Judging from the quality of teachers, even the programs launched by the government to improve the quality of teachers are very numerous, however, the quality of teachers is still relatively low and does not show an increase in the professional quality of a teacher. In terms of facilities and infrastructure, the government has also budgeted a very large amount of funds in the form of BOS (School Operational Assistance). However, the resulting educational results are still far from expected. This research method is a survey and field study with data collection techniques are by observation and interviews. The results obtained are that the current problems of basic education when viewed from the basis of educational philosophy are seen to have been partially implemented, but some others have not been implemented optimally. Education at this time we see has not fully integrated with the life of the child in his daily life. The knowledge obtained at school is only as a transfer of knowledge and does not make changes in his life for the better. Whereas the aim of education according to educational philosophy is to create students who are active in developing themselves according to their potential in order to have religious spiritual strength, self-control, good personality, intelligence, noble character, and the skills needed by themselves, society, nation and religion.
