Curriculum development is a very important process in the world of education, especially in the era of the industrial revolution 4.0. A good curriculum can provide a strong educational foundation for students so that they can face the challenges of an ever-evolving era. In Indonesia, the educational curriculum has undergone several changes. Given this, a curriculum is needed that is able to answer the challenges of education in the 4.0 revolution era. The method in this article uses library research (Library Research), which is a method of collecting data by understanding and studying theories from various literature related to research. The results of the literature analysis concluded that the 2013 curriculum was a curriculum prepared by the government to create Indonesian people who were creative, innovative, critical and with character. In its implementation, there are HOTS implications which are a concern for achieving the goals of the 2013 curriculum.
