Abstract

Pendidikan merupakan suatu proses pembentukan kemampuan-kemampuan dasar yang bersifat fundamental baik dari segi daya intelektual maupun perasaan emosional. Penerapan kurikulum merdeka belajar saat ini menjadi tantangan tersendiri bagi guru. Salah satu solusi yang bisa diajukan untuk tantangan tersebut adalah penerapan filsafat progresivisme dalam konsep kurikulum merdeka belajar. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah mengkaji konsep kurikulum merdeka belajar terhadap pandangan progesivisme. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian kualitatif ini adalah metode penelitian kepustakaan, yang menggunakan pendekatan hermeneutika filosofis, dengan unsur-unsur: deskripsi, interpretasi, dan komparasi melalui studi referensi yang berkaitan dengan tema masalah untuk memperoleh pemahaman yang komprehensif tentang penelitian. Analisis yang digunakan adalah analisis isi untuk menggali dan menemukan substansi dalam teori bagaimana konsep kurikulum merdeka terhadap pandangan filsafat progresivisme.Progresivisme sangat menekankan beberapa prinsip dalam pembelajaran, yaitu: 1) proses pendidikan berpusat pada siswa, dimulai dari dan diakhiri oleh siswa 2) siswa memainkan perannya sebagai manusia yang aktif 3) guru sebagai fasilitator, membimbing, dan memberi arahan dan 4) lembaga pendidikan mengupayakan suasana kooperatif dan demokratis 5) siswa harus fokus pada pemecahan masalah, bukan hanya menguasai materi pelajaran. Konsep Kurikulum Merdeka Belajar terhadap Pandangan Filsafat Progresivisme adalah untuk meningkatkan kualitas sumber daya manusia di Indonesia khususnya di era revolusi industri 4.0.
