KEPEMIMPINAN KEPALA SEKOLAH DALAM MENDORONG INTEGRASI CHROMEBOOK SEBAGAI ALAT PEMBELAJARAN DI SEKOLAH DASAR

The development of information and communication technology (ICT) has driven the use of Chromebooks in elementary schools in Indonesia, in line with the Merdeka Belajar policy to ensure equitable access to technology across schools. This study aims to explore the role of school leadership in promoting the use of Chromebooks as a learning tool at SDN 03 Dayu, as well as to identify the challenges encountered during its implementation. The research employs a qualitative approach with a case study design, involving in-depth interviews, classroom observations, and document analysis. The results show that the school principal plays a crucial role in driving the integration of Chromebooks, from planning, teacher training, to evaluating the implementation. The principal is also actively supporting teachers through continuous training and the empowerment of technical staff. However, the main challenge faced is unstable internet connectivity, which affects the smooth use of Chromebooks in learning. This study concludes that strong school leadership is essential for the successful integration of technology in teaching. Therefore, it is important for schools to continuously strengthen technological infrastructure and provide adequate training for teachers, so that the integration of technologies like Chromebooks can have a positive impact on the quality of education.Downloads
