Abstract

Effective communication is a crucial aspect of active learning, particularly in the MIKiR method (Experiencing, Interaction, Communication, and Reflection). Developed by the Tanoto Foundation, MIKiR emphasizes interactive and reflective learning activities to enhance students' critical thinking and communication skills. However, implementing communication activities during the COVID-19 pandemic posed significant challenges, especially in distance learning settings.This study aims to analyze the implementation of communication activities in MIKiR-based active learning during the COVID-19 pandemic at SD Negeri 131/IV Kota Jambi. The research adopts a descriptive qualitative method, collecting data through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. Validation was conducted using triangulation techniques.The findings show that MIKiR-based active learning was implemented by utilizing media such as Zoom and WhatsApp. Communication activities were developed through oral practices like explaining, storytelling, expressing opinions, and demonstrating, as well as written tasks submitted via digital platforms.
