Abstract

In the science and science learning process in class IV there are problems in increasing activeness. Based on the researcher's observations, students in class IV are still less than optimal in their activity, because their learning tends to be teacher-centred. This can be observed in science and science learning activities when students only listen and note down the teacher's explanation and continue to work on the questions instructed by the teacher. The learning process seems passive, because students tend to prefer listening rather than asking questions or opinions, there are also those who don't pay attention and instead chat with their friends, so that no questions are asked by students. The aim of this research is to increase the activity of students in class IV Pengkol 01 State Elementary School in science and science learning using the CRT approach and project based learning model. This research uses the Classroom Action Research (PTK) method. The data sources in this research were 24 students and class IV of SD Negeri Pengkol 01. The results of the research showed that the CRT approach and the Project based learning learning model could increase the activity of students in class IV of SD Negeri Pengkol 01. The increase in student activity was proven by increasing the percentage of activeness. students from the pre-cycle stage to cycle II. This increase has exceeded the specified target of 75%. The conclusion of this research is that the CRT approach and the Project Based Learning learning model can increase activity in class IV at SD Negeri Pengkol 01.
