Abstract

This paper discusses the analysis and implementation of basic education as a process of cultural inheritance. This research method uses library research or literature study. In collecting data, the author uses literature studies which are research by collecting data from various sources such as books, journals, the internet, and other relevant sources regarding basic education as a process of cultural inheritance. The results of this study are in the form of: 1) the essence of education and culture, 2) education in the process of culture 3) the function of culture in education, 4) education and the process of cultural transformation (inheritance). The conclusion of this study is that education is basically inseparable from culture because it is an important element in human life. Education plays an important role in preserving and developing culture, as well as helping individuals to become human beings with character and culture. And education functions as a means of inheriting cultural values from one generation to the next.
