Abstract

Learning independence is an attitude that students must have in blended learning. This research aims to determine the effectiveness of online crossword puzzle media in increasing student learning independence. This research is an experiment using an experimental class and a control class. The subjects in this research were 6th grade students at SD Negeri Karangduwur, while the media used was an online crossword puzzle. The results of this study showed that the experimental class experienced an increase in the posttest with a score of 80 while the control class did not experience an increase in score. The learning independence questionnaire resulted in 80% of students agreeing that online crossword puzzle media provides a high level of learning independence. The results of this research can be concluded that online crossword puzzle media is effective in increasing student learning independence.
