Abstract

This study focuses on the effect of the jigsaw cooperative learning model on students' thematic learning outcomes. The main objective of the research conducted was to find out whether there was an influence of the jigsaw type of cooperative learning on the thematic learning outcomes of class III students at SDN 2 Tambakrigadung. The jigsaw type cooperative learning model can utilize small groups to maximize learning and the learning of other members in the group. This research is a quantitative experimental research using Quasi Experimental Design. The sample used in this study was 2 classes consisting of 20 students in class III A and 20 students in III B at SDN 2 Tambakrigadung. The research model used in this research is quantitative research. The results of the calculation of the difference in the posttest values of the experimental and control classes show that the experimental class indicates that tcount has an average value (15.10), while for the control class it shows that ttable average value is (10.97) then tcount > ttable at the level significance 0.05. The average results that have been obtained are strengthened by independent sample t tests to determine the effect of the independent variable (jigsaw cooperative learning) on the dependent variable (student learning outcomes). Based on the test results, the results can be seen in the sig column. (2-tailed) obtains a yield of 0.000. These criteria have been determined, if sig. (2-tailed) < a = 0.05 then Ho is rejected. It can be concluded that sig. (2-tailed) 0.000 < a = 0.05 then Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted. So in that way, we can get the effect of the jigsaw cooperative learning model on the learning outcomes of class III students at SDN 2 Tambakrigadung.
