Abstract

The aim to be achieved in this research is to explain the use of the RME method in solving integer arithmetic operations for class VI students at Gamol State Elementary School. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative which can be obtained from the results of interviews conducted with various sources including students and teachers. The results of this research show that the Realistic Mathematics Education Method applied by the class VI teacher to students has a big influence where students are able to connect mathematical concepts to students' lives in a real way. Students can understand mathematics through their own interactions. No longer encounter difficulties with the complexity of mathematics.
