Abstract

The research results in this article are part of development research which aims to determine the validity of the media that has been developed and tested, namely interactive media for beginning reading learning assisted by PowerPoint based on a balanced literacy approach. Validity data collection is carried out by filling in the questionnaire validation media sheet and questionnaire material validation sheet. The validators in this research consisted of 4 lecturers as expert validators and 1 practitioner validator, namely a grade 1 elementary school teacher. Validity analysis uses Aiken's V formula. The product is declared valid if the validity coefficient value obtained is > 0.4. Based on the research results, the media validity coefficient value is 0.84 and material validity is 0.96, which is included in the high validity category. This shows that the interactive learning media for early reading assisted by PowerPoint based on a balanced literacy approach is valid and can be applied to classroom learning.
