MISKONSEPSI SISWA PADA MATERI PEMBAGIAN DI KELAS IV SEKOLAH DASAR

Abstract

Counting division is a form of arithmetic operations in mathematics learning. Division can be interpreted as a way of dividing which is done by repeated taking, the concept of multiplication and division is difficult for students to understand because it is still abstract. Misconceptions about learning material can create gaps in understanding between students and result in errors in answering them. The aim of this research is to find out the causes of misconceptions experienced by students in solving division problems. Class IV B students of SDIT IQRA KOTA Serang were the research subjects. The methods used are observation, tests, interviews and documentation. The written test was carried out by 21 class IVB students at SDIT IQRA Serang City. Misconceptions occur because of misunderstandings in the calculations made, namely when answering the results of division or when determining the final results obtained. Students experience errors in implementing the operations applied. The causes of misconceptions come from students and teaching methods. The cause of student misconceptions can occur due to students' associative thinking, students' low interest in learning.
