MENINGKATKAN STRATEGI PEMBELAJARAN BERBICARA PADA KELAS TINGGI DI SEKOLAH DASAR

Learning means acquiring verbal expression, which is an important subject taught in school. Because when learning to speak, students must be able to express/convey their thoughts, opinions, thoughts or feelings accurately. Speaking skills are one of the important language skills that students must master in elementary school (SD). Speaking is one of the important language skills that students must have. The purpose of this research is to recommend oral expression learning strategies to students. . This research aims to describe the design of oral expression strategies in elementary schools. Examining oral expression learning strategies in elementary schools using descriptive methods. The qualitative descriptive method was used in this research because the researcher wanted to describe the strategies of teachers, especially senior teachers, in teaching speaking skills. The research results show that mental attitudes such as shame, fear, anxiety and lack of self-confidence are the main factors causing learning difficulties. The learning strategy chosen must be able to provide the widest possible opportunities for students to practice speaking and not just learn the language. The right learning strategy can definitely improve students' speaking skills. The application of the model for relearning speaking, reporting, drawing and discussion skills with active learning strategies can improve students' speaking skills learning outcomes.
